Our Goal
Through effective and transparent HSE management, we aim to protect our employees, be the preferred contractor for customers and the favoured employer in the power maintenance sector.
Framework
Our HSE Management System helps us achieve these goals by providing the framework and processes to examine the risks to our employees, the client, our property, and the environment in which we operate and determine what actions we need to take to control these risks.
Our HSE Management System is comprised of nine interrelated elements with underlying expectations that are communicated to all employees, customers and third parties associated with our business:
- Organisational & Communication Management
- Risk Control Management
- Risk Control – Safe People
- Risk Control – Safe Equipment
- Risk Control – Safe Conditions
- Risk Control – Safe Methods
- Sub-Contractor Management
- Environmental & Cultural Management
- Quality Management
Our Promise
Our promise to our employees, clients and sub-contractors is that we will strive for continuous improvement in every area of our HSE efforts. This means continuous improvement of our standards, systems, programs, safety performance, management leadership, and employees’ awareness, knowledge, commitment, and involvement.
'WORKING AS ONE FOR THE BENEFIT OF MANY NOW AND FOR TOMORROW'
Across all of our projects, GTO works to minimise environmental impacts and actively seek sustainable solutions that reduce water, waste and our carbon footprint. In these ways, health, safety and the environment are not afterthoughts – they are at the forefront of everything we do.
Our commitment to safe guarding health, safety, and the environment starts with how we train our workforce to work and to identify concerns proactively.
GTO is responsible for securing worksites as safe environments so that other contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, client representatives visiting the site can complete their tasks without fear of injury in the workplace.
Our Safety Management and Environmental System is robust, proven, compliant and transparent. GTO proudly boasts no LTI’s, or RWC’s since our establishment in 2007.
